At the Seton Diabetes and Wellness Center, our healthcare providers are dedicated to providing you and your family with compassionate and practical care. Our team includes a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator to help improve your health for various conditions, such as:

We provide Individual Nutrition Therapy Consultations and Group Classes for support. All our services are covered under Medicare, MediCal, and private insurance companies. We prior authorize with your insurance company before your visit so there are no unexpected costs.

Diabetes Education and Management class

Both individual consultations or group classes are available to provide you with skills to manage diabetes. Our Certified Diabetes Educator can teach all aspects of diabetes care from how to use your blood glucose meter to make daily management decisions, to understanding your medications, foot care to prevent amputations, what to do during sick-days, or just daily coping with diabetes. We can help support you with the latest technology and we work with your doctor to coordinate your diabetes regimen.

American Diabetes Association

Diabetes Education and Lifestyle Change Program Group Class

This is a three-week comprehensive education program endorsed by the American Diabetes Association. Every person living with diabetes should have this formal education as their foundation of diabetes knowledge. We offer these group classes monthly to learn all aspects of diabetes care and keep you up to date with the latest technology. Whether you have been newly diagnosed with diabetes or have had diabetes for many years, you will benefit from this fun and informative program.

Pre-Diabetes Program Group Class

We provide two, 90 minute classes every month to learn how to stop pre-diabetes from progressing to type 2 diabetes. Come learn the necessary lifestyle changes from the experts.

Gestational Diabetes Program: Sweet Success Affiliate

If you have been diagnosed with diabetes in pregnancy, this program is for you. We are affiliated with the famous California Sweet Success Program which is an evidence based program designed to control diabetes during pregnancy to improve outcomes for your developing child.

Advanced Diabetes Education and Management

When it comes time to start insulin, we are here to train you in how to inject and manage your insulin regimen, as well as manage your diet to match your insulin doses to your eating and lifestyle.

Healthy Kidney Program

If you are diagnosed with insufficient kidney function, we are here to help you slow or prevent progression of kidney failure. We will provide you with the support and knowledge to follow a healthy kidney diet and make lifestyle changes to help you feel better physically and emotionally.

Heart Failure Support

If you are experiencing high blood pressure, fluid retention, shortness of breath, and swelling of the feet or ankles, you can benefit from our program to keep your heart healthy.

Hyperlipidemia/ High Cholesterol Consultation

A change in diet and lifestyle can have a big impact on your blood cholesterol levels to keep your arteries clear and healthy. We can help you achieve dietary changes and help you manage medications for a happy heart.

Cancer Care Support

We are here to support you through your cancer treatments with optimum nutritional therapy to help you feel better physically and emotionally during this difficult time. Nutrition and healthy weight maintenance is necessary to battle cancer, but there can be difficulties with getting adequate nutrition. Our nutrition experts can help you find ways to optimize your intake.
